Mummy Hot dogs

We made this recipe while studying about Mummies in Ancient Egypt. These are surprisingly very good!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 count) crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pkg. bun length hot dogs
  • 2 American cheese slices
  • ketchup (if desired)
  • mustard (if desired)

Directions

Unroll the crescent dough. Press the seems of 2 crescents together, making 4 rectangles. Cut each rectangle, lengthwise, into 10 strips each. Making a total of 40 strips. Cut cheese into 4 equal pieces. Take a piece of cheese and place it on the hot dog, towards one end. Wrap 4 strips of crescent dough, one at a time, around the hot dog, making sure to completely cover the cheese. Leave the top part of the hot dog unwrapped. Wrap a smaller piece of crescent dough around the "head" of your mummy, leaving part of the hot dog showing for its face. Repeat with remaining hot dogs. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 375* oven for 15 minutes or until dough is lightly brown.

To decorate with "Jewels", place mustard and ketchup into small plastic baggies. Cut the tip off of the baggie. Pipe or draw a face and jewels on your mummy. Have fun!
