This is my absolute favorite punch, I use this for any "punch occasion" but it is especially fitting for Christmas. It's easy to make ahead, even a couple of days.
Mix everything except ginger ale together
and stir until sugar dissolves.
Add ginger ale just before serving.
If you like you can make ice molds to float in your punch bowl. Using three 4inch candy cane molds, or molds of your choice, arrange 1 cup cranberries and 1 cup crushed ice alternately in a striped pattern. Add cold water to fill molds, freeze. Use a warm towel to unmold and float in punch rounded side up. I have never done this, but I am sure it looks lovely!
