Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

  • 8-10 med. potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • leftover baked ham, sliced
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 TB butter
  • 3 TB flour
  • 2 cups of milk (I don't measure, so this may not be right)


Layer 1/2 of potatoes, onion, and ham in the crockpot. Melt butter and add flour to make a paste (over low-med heat). Slowly add the milk while stirring. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir and cook until thick. Pour 1/2 of liquid over potatoes. Layer second 1/2 of potatoes, onion, and ham in crock. Pour rest of the liquid over potatoes. Should about cover potatoes. Dot with butter. Cook on low for 7-9 hours.
I usually do this in the oven or microwave. Haven't done this recipe in the crockpot in a long time. Hopefully it is good. Some people add cheese on top just before serving.
