This recipe is from Marmee's Kitchen. It batter if very running. I tried to use it for the lamb cake on Easter, but it was too fluffy and the head fell off the lamb (lol). I doubled the recipe, so I made a sheet cake. The batter was about 1" deep in the pan (9x13) and it rose almost to the top of the pan.
Beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. Pour batter (will be thin) into a greased 9x13 baking dish or 2 round layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Frost.
