Apple Crumb Pie

I have no idea why you smear grape jelly on the bottom crust but it's very good.


  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 TBS all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6-8 apples pared, cored and sliced
  • 1 TBS grape jelly
  • 1-9" pie shell
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine first 3 ingredients and stir into apples.
In pie shell spread grape jelly around. Pour apples into pastry shell. Combine remaining flour and sugar. Cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 45-50 minutes or until done.
