Microwave Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon (more, if desired)
  • 1 can minced clams
  • 1 large potato, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsps. Flour
  • 1-1/3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

-Cook bacon in 2-quart dish in microwave for 1 min. 30 secs.
-Remove bacon, leave drippings in dish.
-Add clam JUICE, potato and onion.
-Cook covered 8 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally.
-Mix flour with small amount of milk to dissolve.
-Add salt, clams, the flour mixed with milk and the rest of the milk to the mixture in the dish.
-Cook 3 mins. or until boiling, stirring occasionally.
-Let stand 3 mins. Crumble bacon on top before serving
