Chocolate Sauce

This thick creamy chocolate sauce is ideal to pour over ice cream.

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 Tablespoons water
  • 2 Tablespoons half and half, or milk, or cream
  • 2 Tablespoon butter


Melt the butter over medium heat in a small saucepan. Add the rest of the ingredients; stir well to blend in the cocoa. Over medium heat bring to rolling boil. Boil 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into a lidded jar, refrigerate

Keep the chocolate sauce in the refrigerator for up to 2 or 3 weeks.
